Supporting Access to Quality Education
Education standards have hitherto remained low due to several factors. Children from poor families are denied a chance to access quality basic education that would give them a fair start in life. NEMACY-Uganda develops programmes that support key stakeholders specifically pupils, teachers, communities (parents) and government in a child’s education process using the four factors approach to tackle gaps in the education sector at nursery, primary, secondary and vocational level.
Addressing challenges in free Universal Primary Education (UPE) has improved pupil enrolment, retention and academic performance in targeted government aided schools.
